Do you accept walk-ins or do I need an appointment?

We are currently appointment only. If you are looking for an appointment the same day, call us at 215-529-8420 to see if we have any open appointment time available.

How do I make an appointment? 

The quickest way to schedule a consultation appointment is to email LuckyStrikeTattoos@gmail.com with any ideas/pic and artist preference and we will get back to you as soon as possilbe.  Due to the increased demand for tattoos, please be patient, we will be in touch.  A consultation appointment guarantees the artist you choose will have devoted time to speak with you about your tattoo idea.  We do not make appointments via Facebook, Email, Instagram, etc. or over the phone.  We do require a deposit prior to a tattoo appointment. As long as you show up for your appointment and get the design tattooed, the deposit you leave will be subtracted from the total cost of the tattoo price.

Do I need to make an appointment to get a piercing?

Yes! You can book an appointment online to schedule an appointment.  You can book an appointment for yourself HERE!

How old do you need to be to get a piercing? Will you pierce anyone under 18yrs old?

We are able to pierce MINORS under the age of 18yrs old.  There are various restrictions on at what age which piercing can be done. We ONLY do earlobe piercings on minors between 8yrs old and 13yrs old, 14yrs and older we pierce nostril (nose), navel (belly button) and all ear piercings (tragus, rook, daith, etc), 16yrs and older we pierce nostril, navel, septum, eyebrow, all lip and ear piercings AND EVERYTHING ELSE is 18yrs and older.  You will need to provide ID for both minor and biological parent, and papers of Legal Guardianship if you are not the minor's biological parent. We do reserve the right to refuse minor piercing depending on the individual circumstance.

Do you have a shop minimum for tattoos? How do you price tattoos?

Yes, every shop does. Our shop minimum is $100. While this may seem steep, our initial set up supplies come with a cost regardless of tattoo size.  Our supplies have increased quite a lot so prices reflect that. The tattoo style/size/detail/location all factors into pricing.  Most tattoos are priced by the piece,  however extremely large pieces with multiple sessions would be charged our hourly price.

How old do you have to be to get a tattoo? Will you tattoo someone under 18 yrs old?

At Lucky Strike Tattoos you MUST be at least 16 years or older to get tattooed. We have a few artists who will tattoo MINORS that are 16 and 17 years old. There are restrictions, so a consultation is required. You will need to provide ID for both minor and biological parent, and papers of Legal Guardianship if you are not the minor's biological parent. We do reserve the right to refuse minor tattooing depending on the individual circumstance.

Will it help if I email my artist pictures of things I like and how they fit into my tattoo idea?

Absolutely! Every artist is an individual and artistically view things differently. Any ideas, pictures or sketches will help your artist to better understand your personal taste and style, and what you want your tattoo to look like, therefore creating the perfect tattoo for you.

Is there a charge to have my idea drawn?

There is a charge for the artists time and talent to take your idea and transform it into a stunning piece of tattoo work. You still need to leave a deposit EVEN IF you have someone else draw/bring in/email a picture of the tattoo and exactly how you want it. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE, and comes off the price of the completed tattoo after your final session. Deposits can only be honored for 60 days from contact of drawing completion.  This ensures that the artists do not spend time with those who are not serious about getting a tattoo.

Can you fix or cover up unwanted tattoos?

While we have artists that specialize in cover ups, the process of covering up or fixing a tattoo differs from case to case depending on the size, color, style, color as well as other factors. It's always best to schedule a consultation with the artist of your choice, or by our recommendation of an artist to work with you and your tattoo.

What should you do if you think you have a problem with your tattoo or piercing?

If you are experiencing problems with the healing process of your tattoo or piercing, we recommend calling us and consulting with your artist. Often times, your tattoo or piercing can become irritated from everyday activities (clothing rubbing, excess movement in that area, etc.) or from over or under using aftercare products. In some situations, irritations can occur from the aftercare product itself and will resolve by changing aftercare products. It’s best to come in and show us what’s going on as soon as you feel an irritation is occurring, the sooner the better!

Is there anything I can do to prepare for getting a tattoo or piercing?

Eat, drink water and be merry... it is always a good plan to have eaten a decent size meal before getting a tattoo or piercing. Abstaining from all drugs and alcohol is required to get tattooed in our shop, so save the celebration for after the tattoo!

Will you tattoo me if I am under the influence of drugs or alcohol?

Unfortunately, no! The main reason is because of the reaction of your body's system and how it will negatively effect the tattoos overall appearance afterwards. In other words, by no fault of the artist, your tattoo will not set into your skin as it should therefore making the tattoo look just plain bad. Although we won’t tattoo anyone considered under the influence of drugs or alcohol, we can still make you an appointment!

Does getting a tattoo hurt?

The sensation of pain is perceived differently by everyone! Most people relate the feeling of receiving a tattoo to that of a cat scratch! It burns and stings at first but usually lessens during the tattoo process. Pain also varies with the location on the body that is getting tattooed. We offer a numbing system (called Nothing) that lessens the pain once we break the skin.  Clients who have used it generally never want a tattoo without it again. They LOVE how much it reduces the pain!

Do you host tattoo parties?

The traditional 'Tattoo Party' concept is not a good idea anymore! There are many factors that are incontrollable and therefore can lead to problems that affect your health and the entire community.  Some states have gone as far to make it Illegal!  So while we DON’T DO Tattoo Parties outside of Lucky Strike Tattoo, we do offer reserving the shop for private events.
